License terms
The short version: try Burrow free for 14 days, then buy it once to use on two of your Macs, with a year of updates. Here is the rest in plain words.
Who sells Burrow
Burrow is made and sold by Hammadh Arquil, a sole proprietor trading as Burrow ("we" and "us" on this page).
Orders go through Polar, our merchant of record. Polar runs the checkout, takes the payment, sends your receipt, collects and pays sales tax and VAT, and handles refunds. Polar's own terms cover the payment itself; these terms cover Burrow.
The free trial
You can use Burrow free for 14 days, with everything included. When the trial ends, Burrow asks for a license to keep going. Your folders, sidebar and settings are kept.
Your license
- A license costs $19, paid once. There is no subscription.
- It is a personal license for 2 Macs: you can use Burrow on up to two Macs of yours at the same time.
- To move it to another Mac, click Release This Mac in Customize ▸ License, or release a Mac from Polar's customer portal, then activate on the new one.
- Please don't share or sell your license key, or use it on more than two Macs at once.
A year of updates
Your license covers every version of Burrow released within a year of your purchase. Those versions keep working for as long as you want to use them. Versions released after that year aren't included in your license.
Activation and offline use
Activating a license needs an internet connection once. After that Burrow works offline. When you are online, it checks the license with Polar now and then, for example to notice a refunded purchase. The privacy policy says exactly what is sent.
What stays ours, and what stays yours
You are buying a license to use Burrow, not the software itself. Please don't copy Burrow to sell or give away, get around its license checks, or take it apart, except where the law allows you to. Your files are always yours: Burrow works on the folders on your Mac and claims nothing in them.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying, no questions asked. See the refund policy.
No warranty
Burrow is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it is free of bugs or right for every use. Burrow moves, renames and deletes files when you ask it to, so keep backups of anything you can't afford to lose.
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for lost data, lost profits or other indirect losses from using Burrow, and our total responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date below changes with them. Changes never take away a license you have already bought or the versions it covers.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
